MY FIRST MARK

"Nature is my first love..."though it sounds a bit 'out of fashion' statement for an environment like Delhi Public School, VK and for such a tender age,but has its roots deep in my observation and experience of the world.
To prepare for JEE, I took coaching at LOCUS Institute and in the fourth lecture of our physics class we were taught "MOTION IS RELATIVE".the very first question that came to my mind was 'so whats absolute?'and my stupid mind took it so seriously that i started looking for this 'absolute'in every possible thing i could.Be it people or their opinions regarding various matters,or be it my own thoughts, which i myself contradicted every now and then, this "absolute" thing never actually found its expression anywhere.

Thanx to the lush green environment of DPS,VK and to my friends with whom every evening i used to go for a walk, that i gradually realised that this 'nature' was my "soul's solace",my absolute. Though in a strict scientific sense even nature isn't absolute, but yes considering a human being's life span it can be considered as absolute, see even to mark things absolute we need to see things relatively..:P..

Anyways this was not the only fate of that statement.Perceptions in my philosophical world related to this "relativity of motion" in physics because once again both are NOT ABSOLUTE. It was at this juncture that my physics and philosophy were binded together by threads of my thoughts. But,alas life wasn't that simple always..for my life it was a dark phase but for my soul,an enlightening one. I grew more and more spiritual in my approach without loosing on my scientific pace and now as i stand today i see my philosophical,my scientific,my spiritual worlds all reside in me "in peace"...

But amidst all this, figuring out my own life, finding for a reason for everything that happened,it really leaves me ecstatic to know that it was ancient greek who made the first ever systematic attempt to establish some sort of common grounds for belief. Also when this book "mind of god" by Paul Davies asks what is absolutely constant,is it 'logic','number','soul','god', i silently say to myself.."its the soul"..and a part of it is 'my soul'..

  1. great work sumedha...!!!!

yes indeed...we all study physics but only a few are able to gather the idea of its connection with philosophy..the best line is:
'now as i stand today i see my philosophical,my scientific,my spiritual worlds all reside in me "in peace"...'

awesome article with an essence of your soul in it.

    keep writing...

  5. Nice. You know my reactions already :)
Oh and yeah you're damn write over there. 'Objective' is absolute.. though 'Subjective' can be relative.
Keep on finding a reason for everything happened. In fact, the realm of reasoning is something which is individualistic.. self-contained.
Oh, when I'm getting to read your next post gal? :-P

and Dear-nothing is "out of fashion" in this materialistic world!!its we who decide d fashion and set trends.. :)
"it was a dark phase but for my soul,an enlightening one..." - beautiful way of putting down the thoughts..
"as i stand today i see my philosophical,my scientific,my spiritual worlds all reside in me "in peace"..." - that's all we want from life and u realized it so embracingly :)
"i silently say to myself.."its the soul"..and a part of it is 'my soul'.."" - remember ,its your soul who completes the absolute, its incomplete and meaningless without u :)
    Just loved your first mark!!
Eagerly waiting to read more of your thoughtful experiences :)

  9. It’s such a beautifully written piece Sumedha.......definitely there is a logic and reason behind the expanse of reality....which is yet to be explored....and I’m totally dazed with the way your thoughts move. I remember the time when you spoke to me about the connection between physics and philosophy and I can so relate to it after reading this. Nothing in this world is complete unless we look at it that way or we believe in its fulfilment. The same way we are not complete unless we realize our moral, social, philosophical, spiritual and psychological strengths, once we know them, it’s our drive to get through that helps us achieve and take on the world. Really really impressed...I appreciate the way u think....I’m in absolute love with your writing.......will wait for your next piece...so come out with it soon...

  14. Ur thought r okay but u should include more matter on relative nature between human physcology or mind and soul. Relation between einstein's constancy light and spritual constancy, god. i think ur wrong in saying that human being life span is absolute. Nope ur absolutely wrong human doesn't know about his life then how his life could be absolute. Nothing can be absolute, if we see things relatively we get the result relatively. As u can see human life that everybody is related to some relation. Ur my frnd,my relative, mum, dad, son, daughter, sis, bro AND ABOVE THEM ALL WE ALL R HUMAN BEINGS AND ABOVE THAT WE ALL BELONG TO SAME PLANET,SOLAR SYSTEM AND UNIVERSE.So each everything in this universe is relative accept god and light.

  15. Nice One!!!

What soul is?? am wandering it ever since I heard the word!!!

With my meek understanding, I guess it is the flow of the electrons in our neurons which makes us do things and these electrons may be the part of the atoms which we may have consumed or may be recvd. from parents or may be some other source.

Then is soul, 'the part of atoms', which every one knows and are finding its behavior by various sciences or is it something??
